Back to Aromatherapy

I was lucky enough to be trained by the amazing aromatherapist Micheline Arcier 30 years ago, at her clinic in Knightsbridge. She was a formidable, insightful, and spirited woman, who counted members of the Royal Family as her clients. She vetted everyone before she agreed to allow you on her course. I was so lucky to have been picked. On the day we learnt to mix the  oils together she explained that it wasn't just about mixing the oils together, and that the energy of the person mixing the oils played a huge part in the aroma. We were all given the same oils to mix, and it was surprising to see that everyone's blend smelt completely different. She went around the room, taking gentle sniffs from our bottles, and once she got to mine she sniffed, let out a huge sigh, and said in her beautiful French accent

"Rubina this is exquisite. You have THE gift. Your blends smell amazing.”

I was so shocked as she just didn't ever praise anyone. She passed a few years ago, and for the past few months she has been coming into my awareness so much, that I am guided to once again go back to aromatherapy, and now perfumery. Aromas are incredibly healing, and I adore working with essential oils. Up until my IVF, I never took meditation for anything, I always used essential oils. Even now, having psoriasis, I still make up blends to calm, soothe and heal.

I have just booked a course with perfumer extraordinaré Karen Gilbert, and am so excited.

Also I am now so weary of using everyday skin care because of the amount of chemical they contains

When I first became a therapist 30 years ago, no one had any skin conditions, yet in the past 10 years I noticed more and more clients with much more sensitive skins, and rashes. It is estimate that in one day we can be putting over 100 different chemical on our skins through the skincare, and make up we use!

There are many of us who are now going back to natural products, and homemade products, at a fraction of the cost, and completely natural.

I will be producing a book, after I have complete my course, showing how to make your own products, with a brief description of oils and their benefits.

Also going to be offering Organic Aromatherapy Facials which are just exquisite using accupressure point massage techniques which really help to lift and rejuvenate the skin

The book will be at a minimal cost because I am so passionate about using natural products on our skins

I wanna garden like Kew Kew Kew

Last Friday, birthday, and a beautiful relaxing time at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew http://www.kew.org. We walked barefoot in the grass, drank tea, and bathed in nature. It was a sunny day, and the garden looked stunning. You need  to go. The energy, and the vibration is very healing

Enjoy the pictures, and thank you to everyone for my beautiful gifts, and messages. I felt so so blessed

Happy 3rd Birthday Blog

Happy 3rd Birthday My darling Blog

Ohhh how I have neglected you..I is so uncaring!

Yes 3 years, and 23237 hits later!

And oh how things have changed?

About to sell the Salon, and on to new adventures, but no idea what yet. I just want to know what it feels like not to own a shop. I was a mere 27 years young when I got it, so 21 years. I just wanted to know what its like to have no expectations, no goals, just to surrender, and see what comes to me.

Yes I have already had some amazing offers of work, and am pondering. The Heart healing work is going well, and so so powerful. My clients have been giving me amazing feedback. It really is changing their lives. No credit to me, it is all their hard work. When you release the shite, you make room for Divine/Universe to flow through you, and you become abundant in so many ways.

All I do know is that I will not work for a company, in an office..noooooowayyyyy nooooo how. I didn't want to do it when I was 15, and I certainly do not want to do it now. No judgment, but I am no an office girlie.

DH just said “ I bet you end up in an office”!!!! lol

I went to Eileen Godwin’s class last Saturday, and played around. It is so hard to craft at home with Harley, the mad Bengal,  although he is so lovable, and affectionate

Of course I had a blast. Eileen really is the nicest person in the Craft world, real, honest, and ooohhhh so talented. So of course the people she surrounds herself with are also oooohh so lovely. Laughs, Craft, and cake munching...just what I needed.

My Funky Brother

Its been a lovely couple of weeks. Went away with some girlies for a retreat in the Cotworlds.  It was lovely.

And we got a new kitty...Harley...ooommmgg I am just so in Looooove.

When Gizzi passed I had a dream a couple of night later, that he was coming back, as it had been such an incredible time...I know, so weird. Gizzi, and Tigger were high five-ing each other, and laughing......you so want to be in my head, I know lol. I knew that one day the Angels would guide me to him, somehow. Well it happened. I prayed to the Angels, went on the net, found Dazzle Bengals, called them, and Harley was the last one left, of a litter of 5. Mem went to meet him, and fell in love. He came home last Thursday, and already, so much of how he is, is so similar to Gizzi, and Tigger. He is chatty, affectionate, and so so playful. There is so much laughter in Comfy Castle

So last night my eldest brother, Shahid, 55 years old, made an appearance on ITV2, on Viral Tap.

When he told me earlier on in the day, I was mortified that he was going to do something really embarrassing, but no, its was hilare. He is just so so funny, and so young at heart

I didn't realise he does this whole thing on a Saturday night, at his takeaway, Shalamar in Clapham Common, to entertain the late night clubbers, and pub go-ers….they love him.

May need to manage him now, so many will want him for pop videos...lol

Here are a couple of videos for you to enjoy

Scrappy Arty, Arty Scrappy

I am such a lazy bones…actually I am not, but how long has it been since I updated my blog.

Soooo much has been going on, and its like whoosh whoosh the changes!!!!. The stars, and planets have a lot to answer for!!

Yet there is so much peace, and heart felt happiness, and so much gratitude, for all that is going on.

I have embarked on a new journey, an Intuitive Heart Therapist. Will write more about that in another blog, but if you wish to connect, and ask more, please feel free.

So back to my scrappy arty stuff. Have been busy releasing, and creating.

Just back from a another fantastic Scrapagogo weekend. I really so not scrap enough, so this yearly meet up is great for me. And Janice, and her team do an amazing job of making us enjoy every moment. The choice of classes was so good this year that I literally wrote “dont mind” for most of my class requests. There were only 2 that I really really wanted to do, and I got to do them. Working with beetroot juice was interesting too!!! ( the heart layout). And 143 is code for I Love You. I learnt so much. And it was great to see a shop set up by the lovely ladies from Sarah Cards. I loved it even though my purse didn’t. Stocked to the brim with yummio crafty stuff. It was so hard to stick to my budget!!

Here are my layouts

And I have been getting arty too. Loving scraps of cards board layered with book pages, and gesso, to paint on. So liberating, and of course I adore bright bright colours

Thank you for looking, and stay blessed and loved
