Chilled Out painty time

Yesterday I gave myself a propa chill out day. Been sooo busy with prepping the Salon for Christmas, interviewing new staff, and .....my fav bit...volunteering.

On Wednesday we took the members of the Friday Friendly Club to Mickey Drivers Christmas Variety Show. I adore the looks on their faces, when they sing along to the tunes, memories, memories, when they get a distant look in their eyes...and yes I do get teary.....!!

I have been wanting to try painting on cardboard for ages, so finally yesterday I tried it. I’m still really trying to find my way with my creations, but one thing is for sure...I loooooove bright colours.

So after waking up at 10am...so nice, eating a leisurely breakfast, and watching my darling soul brother Reza Mahammad on This Morning,  I cut up a shoe box, gessoed it, and used Deco Art paint, and Martha Stewart paints, to brush, and dab.

I love the results

Ooooooh I have been drooling for days. When I was first offered these, I had no idea what I would get, except that they were a box of old cards. from the 1950’s and 60’s

When I opened the box.....the smell of old......and aged envelopes

So I was going to chop them up for crafting, but when I saw them....nooooooooway, they are just too beautiful, and the sentiments inside.....so lovely

So I have decided to sell them. I will keep some for myself.

I have some mostly multiples of some, and a couple of single ones

I will price them between £3.00-£6.00 each, and will price them but just wanted to show them off. They are old, so please, some of them are a little bent, but in really good condition. The envelopes are aged..you will see the picture
